The Democratic party is preparing for 2020 and one of the people that they feel will have a strong chance of becoming the next President of the United States is former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick.
Even former President Barack Obama believes that Patrick has the talent and skills to make it to the White House and has strongly encouraged him to think about running, but Patrick says that it’s much too early to pick out drapes for the Oval Office.
“I’m trying to think about how to be helpful, because I care about the country, and I’m a patriot first. It’s way, way too soon to be making plans for 2020,” Patrick said in an interview for POLITICO’s Off Message podcast. “So I’ll just leave it at that.”
