The early reviews are incredible for Mary J. Blige for her very emotional performance in the movie “Mudbound”, and the Queen of Hip Hop Soul says that the raw emotion that she gives on screen came from a very personal place.
“I was able to give her all of the heaviness and the sadness and the terrible thing I was dealing with it,” she said.
Blige was in the thick of her divorce from Kendu Issacs during the filming of the movie which will be available on Netflix beginning November 17th.
