MTV’s slasher series ‘Scream’ is returning after a long awaited two years since its 2016 season. Along with a new show format and new executive producers, the series has added new characters to the bill in which Mary J. Blige will play a significant role as the mother of the lead character, Deion Elliot.
Blige is no stranger to the big screen being that her first acting debut landed her an Oscar nomination for her role in Mudbound. Season 3 of Scream will run as a three-night, six episode event set to premiere before the end of 2018.
