The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin had no will when she died.
According to TMZ, Franklin died “intestate” — meaning she had no will at the time of death, which is surprising because she has a special needs son who needs financial and other forms of support for his entire life.
According to Michigan law, The Queen of Soul’s 4 kids will share equally in her estate.
Aretha Franklin died on August 16th at the age of 76.
