During one of R. Kelly’s shows in Missouri this week, Lyric Cabral, a Buzzfeed journalist, was on assignment as apart of a documentary that is focusing on the allegations made in regards to Kelly’s alleged sex cult. Cabral was assaulted by members of Kelly’s crew who admitted that a security guard had given them a tip that Cabral was, in fact, filming a documentary.
Cabral stated, “I had the camera phone in my hand above my head. All I know is I felt an arm around my neck and I was lifted up.”
Cabral filed a police report and the incident is now being investigated by the East St. Louis Police Department.
