The attack on law enforcement during last night’s protest rally in Downtown Dallas has been called the worst since 9/11. 12 police officers were shot, five have been confirmed dead including a DART officer who is the first DART officer killed in the line of duty.
Dallas Police have also confirmed that one sniper is dead and another suspect is in custody.
The attack which is being called an ambush came at the end of what had been a very peaceful protest that had been organized by religious leaders in Dallas in response to recent events in Baton Rouge and Minnesota.
