Oprah Winfrey has always been brutally honest about her struggles, and now she’s speaking out about her ongoing struggle with her weight. In an interview with The New York Times Magazine, the media queen says that she can’t accept herself at over 200Ibs but the reason has nothing to do with how she looks.
“For your heart to pump, pump, pump, pump, it needs the least amount of weight possible to do that. So all of the people who are saying, ‘Oh, I need to accept myself as I am’ — I can’t accept myself if I’m over 200 pounds, because it’s too much work on my heart,” the magazine mogul, 63, told the outlet. “It causes high blood pressure for me. It puts me at risk for diabetes, because I have diabetes in my family.”
Winfrey says that she doesn’t care if she’s ever ‘skinny’ again but she does want to be healthy.
