Taraji P. Henson is just two days away from the opening of her new action packed movie Proud Mary, but she’s already talking about her next project. Henson has confirmed that she’s set to produce and star in the story of Emmitt Till.
“We don’t have a start date yet, but the deal definitely has been done. That’s one (project) I’ve been passionate about since Trayvon Martin was murdered” Henson said.
The Empire star will play Till’s mother Mamie Till-Mobley in the story of the young man who in 1955 was lynched at the age of 14 for allegedly looking at a white woman.
