Oprah shared life advice during her USC commencement speech. During her speech, Oprah warned students against the “hysteria” and “fake news” that has become a seemingly normal part of media and urged students to “strike down deceit” when they witness it. She also urged students to get out and vote, calling on grads to “overcome the sniping at one another, the trolling, the mean-spirited partisanship on both sides of the aisle, the divisiveness, the injustices, and the out-and-out hatred.” Oprah’s speech wasn’t all politically and socially driven she did leave the grads with some good life advice too, “Pay your bills on time, make your bed, put your phone away at the dinner table, and get a good mattress—your back will thank you.”
