The judge shut down the prosecutor’s move to free Meek Mill. Prosecutors want Meek’s original drug conviction vacated. That would free him immediately. The Philly D.A. Office made the motion this morning in court. They asked Judge Genece Brinkley to toss the conviction because they say prosecutors in 2008 were fully aware that Meek’s arresting officer, Reginald Graham, was dirty. Judge Brinkley scheduled a hearing for June. That means Meek has to sit until then. More here.
