The officer who didn’t help a woman wearing a Puerto Rico Shirt has resigned. The unnamed officer resigned yesterday, just two days after an investigation was launched by the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Mia Irizarry says she was celebrating her 24th birthday in the Forest Preserves of Cook County when the man approached her and asked her why she was wearing the sleeveless Puerto Rico flag shirt. Meanwhile, the man seen in the video harassing Mia Irizarry was later arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Some are calling for hate crime charges to be added to those charges. Read here.
