Netflix has canceled Seven Seconds starring Regina King. The series premiered in February. It looked at race in the U.S., through the hit-and-run of an African-American teenager by a White cop and the cover-up by the mostly White police force. More here.

BET has canceled the drama The Quad after two seasons. The second season just ended a week ago. The series starred Anika None Rose. She played Dr. Eva Fletcher, a newly elected President of the fictional Georgia A&M University. The reason for the cancelation? Poor ratings. More here.
