Alicia Keys paid tribute to the late Nelson Mandela during her recent concert in Yarra Valley, Australia.
Just a day after Mandela passed away at the age of 95 years old, the singer was joined by John Legend to perform a heartfelt rendition of Bob Marley‘s “Redemption Song” for a packed crowd. The video footage was posted in Alicia’s recently launched website, AKVault.com.
“I was halfway around the world when I heard of the passing of Nelson Mandela,” Alicia shared. “Since we are on tour together here in Australia, John Legend and I decided to do a special tribute of ‘Redemption Song’ to him when we performed in Yarra Valley.”
She goes on to add, “Madiba’s legacy lives on in all of us!”
