Alicia Keys Sings Donny Hathaway’s Someday We’ll All Be Free on A&E’s Race in America Special

Alicia Keys is among the celebrities taking part in an A&E’s upcoming special, Shining Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America, which addresses racial inequality and violence in the U.S.

The network is giving fans an sneak peek at the two-hour special, which will also see John Legend and Pharrell Williams taking part. In the clip, Keys closes her eyes while belting her rendition of Donny Hathaway‘s “Someday We’ll All Be Free” in Baltimore, a city where recent racially charged incidents transpired, changing communities forever.

Shining Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America will air Friday, November 20 beginning at 8 p.m., on A&E and AOL.com. The special will also include performances from Smokey Robinson, Miguel, Tori Kelly, Jill Scott, and Jamie Foxx, with LL Cool J, Morgan Freeman, and Nicki Minaj presenting.
