Just days after wrapping her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, an alternate version of Beyonce‘s “Grown Woman” has surfaced online.
The clip was posted on a fan YouTube page and features additional vintage childhood videos of Beyonce and extra special effects of her singing alongside Kelly Rowland. The song was also unofficially remixed with the original lyrics kept in tact with a EDM-inspired beat.
Jake Nava, who directed the original clip, previously explained the video tracks Beyonce’s development from when she was younger to becoming an adult. “What was amazing about those scenes is that she just looks so young in them, and her ability to act as she would of at that age, is really what brought those scenes to life,” he told Fuse.
“Grown Woman” appears on Beyonce’s self-titled album, available now.
