Andre 3000 has landed a role in the second season of ABC’s American Crime.

According to Variety, the rapper will star with actress Regina King as the parents of a teenager who is accused of the show’s central crime. Andre will portray a prominent architect named Michael Lacroix, who can afford to defend his son by any means necessary.

The role will see Andre reuniting with the show’s creator John Ridley, whom the rapper previously worked with on Jimi: All Is by My Side.

“Working with Andre changed my life, personally and professionally on All Is by My Side,” Ridley toldVariety. “To have him joining me for season two is pretty phenomenal.”

The second season of American Crime, which currently is in production, will be set in the Midwest and involve crimes involving sexual identity and high school students, according to cast member Timothy Hutton.
