ABC/Randy HolmesTinashe‘s sophomore album Joyride features guest vocals from artists such as Offset, Ty Dolla $ign, French Montana, Future and Swedish electronic group Little Dragon.
But the star tells ABC Radio that there’s many, many more acts she’d love to collaborate with in the future.
“André 3000, Emily Haines [of Canadian alt-rockers Metric], [singer-songwriter] James Blake, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Janet Jackson, Sade, you know, just a few iconic names,” she laughs.
The “Flame” singer says she also has a number of influences when it comes to her sense of style, especially when deciding what to wear in her music videos or onstage.
She explains, “Some days I feel tomboyish…and very laid back. Street style vibes. Some days I can get more feminine. Girly. I wanna be a little sexier. More sultry. So I can throw on a heel. Maybe a red lip.”
“It’s fun to be able to play with different kind of looks,” she adds.
And of course, Tinashe hopes fans can feel inspired by her, and especially her new album.
“I think the album has a sense of confidence. That’s really important,” she begins.
“I always try to give people music that makes them feel good about themselves when they listen to it.”
