Credit: ABC/Rick RowellNetflix has released the first trailer for Otherhood, starring Angela Bassett, Felicity Huffman and Patricia Arquette.
The three actresses play empty-nesters who, on Mother’s Day, decided to drive to New York to reconnect with their adult sons. During their journey, the three rediscover that they need to redefine their relationships with not only their friends and family, but with themselves.
“You know who you are without me,” says Bassett to her son, played by Sinqua Walls, in the film. “I need to figure who I am without you.”
The film also stars Jake Hoffman, Jake Lacy and Heidi Gardner.
Otherhood will be released in select theaters and launch on Netflix on August 2.
