In a short tweet Saturday, West ignited rumors that the two rappers will release a followup to their successful 2011 album, Watch The Throne.
“throne2 coming soon,” West tweeted.
Twitter users are speculating on the meaning of West’s ambiguous tweet, some even wondering if JAY-Z is at all aware of the project.
Neither West nor JAY-Z’s reps have confirmed the news.
The rappers’ relationship has been strenuous of late. In 2016, West accused JAY-Z and Beyonce of not taking his calls and even said “there will never be a Watch the Throne 2,” Pitchfork reports.
With hit singles like “N***** in Paris,” “Otis,” and “H*A*M,” the album had quite the impact. Watch the Throne dropped in 2011 and reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart, and spent 62 weeks on the charts.
