After postponing two previous dates, fans are looking forward to tonight’s epic battle between the two R&B queens. The original December 12th date was postponed after Ashanti revealed she tested positive for COVID-19. Although Ashanti kicked off the year with negative test results, Verzuz co-founders Swizz Beatz and Timbaland announced the battle would be hosted from separate locations, a day before the next rescheduled date on January 9.
To hype things, Ashanti’s sister, designer Shia Douglas and NTWRK designed limited-edition Verzuz merch for the “Legendary Ladies Night” match up. The collection consists of long sleeve and short sleeve T-shirts and hoodies with images of Ashanti and Keyshia’s faces inside the letter V.
