Ashanti Prepares to Executive Produce A-Lister Film, Mother’s Day

Ashanti has a new film project in the works. The singer announced that she’s executive producing a new drama called Mother’s Day.

Following her appearing on Hollywood Today Live, the singer re-posted a portion of the interview in which she revealed that the film features big names like Sharon Stone, Christina Ricci, Courteney Cox and Susan Sarandon.

Ashanti will also work on and off camera. “Super Excited to be joining the cast & Ep’ing a Film Called Mother’s Day,” she wrote in the caption.

While details are sparse, Mother’s Day is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2016, presumably around Mother’s Day, May 8.
