Credit: Image Group LA/ABCAugust Alsina‘s latest health scare nearly left the singer paralyzed.
Monday, the “No Love” vocalist took to Instagram to share that he was recently hospitalized after suffering a loss of mobility.
“Hi guys,” Alsina says in the video clip, in which he’s seen laying in a hospital bed. “As you can probably tell, I’m in the hospital. So, here’s the sitch. I woke up one day and wasn’t able to walk. I couldn’t feel my legs and my doctor ended up admitting me into the hospital.”
He further explained, “We’re doing a bunch of tests and they’re saying I have some nerve damage going on throughout my body. It’s like my immune system went on vacation. So, I’m just waiting on it to come back and we can get together and it can do what it do, man.”
Despite the troubling diagnosis, Alsina reassured fans that he is remaining positive and even shared a few clips of himself singing while on bed rest.
In 2017, Alsina revealed that he was being treated for a severe autoimmune disease which was targeting his liver. While the singer did not name the illness, Alsina disclosed to close friend Jada Pinkett-Smith that it is a hereditary condition.
