Not only has K. Michelle announced “The Right One” as the new single off her latest album, Rebellious Soul, but she’s allowing fans to check out behind-the-scenes footage from the upcoming video.
In the Juwan Lee-directed clip, the singer vents her frustrations with her unfaithful boyfriend, portrayed by Chi-Ali, by burning his clothes in the streets of New York.
“She’s caught her man cheating for the last time and she’s over it,” explains the director in the footage. “But she drives off; her friend keeps her from doing something crazy.” The footage suggests that K. Michelle may have wanted to get violent with her cheating man.
While there’s no word on when the clip will premiere, Lee adds, “We’re looking forward to a dope video, a lot of sexy performances from K. Michelle: she definitely did her thing. The song is crazy, it’s going to be a hit.”
“The Right One” is the second song from K. Michelle’s album to get a video, following her hit “V.S.O.P.”
