Beyonce Coachella special apparently coming to Netflix April 17

Larry Busacca/Getty Images for Coachella Looks like those reports that Beyonce was planning a documentary based on her historic performance last year at Coachella are true.

On Sunday, Netflix posted a graphic across its social channels with the words, “Homecoming. April 17.”   The word “homecoming” was spelled with the Greek letters theta and omega in place of the “o” and “e.”  The yellow is the same color as the Greek-letter-adorned hoodie that Beyonce wore during her iconic set.

Fans started freaking out at the posting, but Netflix didn’t offer any further information.

Beyonce’s Coachella performances on April 14 and April 21 of 2018 were immediately hailed as among the best — if not the best — performances ever at the festival.  The performances drew heavily from the imagery, music, choreography traditionally seen at HBCUs, or Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Not long afterwards, Bey announced the expansion of her HBCU scholarship fund, called the BeyGOOD Initiative’s Homecoming Scholars Award program.  Homecoming…get it?
