Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Jennifer Hudson and more nominated for Hollywood Music in Media Awards

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are competing against each other at the upcoming Hollywood Music in Media Awards

The HMMAs honor composers, songwriters and music supervisors for their work in music for film, television and video games.

Beyoncé is nominated in the Feature Film category for “Be Alive,” the song she co-wrote and performs for the movie King Richard, about the father of tennis superstars Serena and Venus Williams. Hova is also nominated for his song “Guns Go Bang” with Kid Cudi, from The Harder They Fall.

Cudi has a second nomination for “Just Look Up” with Ariana Grande. from Don’t Look UpJennifer Hudson is also up for “Here I Am (Singing My Way Home),” from Respect.

In the On Screen Performance category, Hudson is nominated again for “Here I Am (Singing My Way Home),” and Cudi and Grande are also nominated for “Just Look Up.”

For Music Documentary/Special Program, The Notorious B.I.G. film, Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, is nominated, as well as Mary J. Blige‘s My Life.

50 Cent and Charlie Wilson were recognized in the Main Title — TV Show/Limited Series category for the theme song for BMF. They’re up against Oscar and Grammy winner H.E.R., who was nominated for “Change,” from We The People.

The 12th Annual Hollywood Music In Media Awards will be presented in a streamed event on Wednesday, November 17.
