Carlota GuerreroThe nominations for the 2017 Brit Awards — the British equivalent of the Grammys — have been announced, and Beyoncé, Solange, Rihanna and The Weeknd are among the nominees.
RiRi is up for the International Female Solo Artist award, along with Bey and Solange, while her smash hit collaboration with Scottish DJ-producer Calvin Harris, “This Is What You Came For,” has been nominated in the categories of British Single and British Video of the Year.
The Weeknd and Drake are both up for International Male Solo Artist, with Drake & Future, as a duo, and A Tribe Called Quest are both nominated for the International Group award.
Emeli Sandé, who will perform at the awards ceremony, is nominated in the British Female Solo category. The 2017 Brit Awards is scheduled to take place on February 22.
