ABC/Image Group LABeyoncé last surprised fans with a pregnancy announcement, but on Saturday, the superstar threw another curveball — this time in person — for a few unsuspecting teens and members of one of the most prestigious dance troupes in the world.
After a performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater company in Los Angeles, Bey showed up backstage and greeted tbe company’s dancers, as well as a special group of girls who also attended the event during a field trip with Bey’s mom, Tina Lawson.
The young girls are mentees of Tina’s nonprofit mentorship organization, Tina’s Angels.
Tina shared several pictures and a video about her oldest daughter’s surprise visit on Instagram, writing in the caption, “When Beyoncé surprises you back stage!!! The Alvin Ailey Dancers are the most beautiful and Talented and gracious Human Beings. I was honored to meet them and they were so nice and patient to my girls!!!”
In the clip, Beyoncé appears humble as she praises the dancers, even when one of them falls to his knees in the presence of the global icon.
