Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” Debuts at #2 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart

Columbia RecordsBeyonce‘s self-titled album has not only remained atop the Billboard 200 chart, but her lead single, “Drunk in Love” featuring Jay Z, opened at number two on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

According to Billboard, “Drunk In Love” sold 61,000 downloads in its first week of availability and reached 23.3 million listeners on-air, marking her highest debut yet. She’s surpassed her guest feature on Usher‘s “Love in This Club Part II,” which debuted at #14 in 2008. Her previous best opening as a solo artist was #20, with “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” in 2008.

Elsewhere, Eminem continues his eight-week reign atop the list with “The Monster,” featuring Rihanna, while Drake‘s “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” featuring Majid Jordan, slides from #2 to #3.

Over on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, Beyonce remains at #1 with 374,000 units sold. Em’s latest album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, climbs up from #4 to #2, selling an additional 115,000 copies, while Mary J. Blige‘s first holiday set, A Mary Christmas, moves from #5 to #3, with 64,000 copies sold.

Rounding out the top five: R. Kelly‘s Black Panties claims the #4 spot with an extra 60,000 units moved in its second week, while Justin Timberlake‘s The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) nabs #5, with 45,000 copes sold.
