Bobbi Kristina Brown recently vented her frustration at not being selected for a lead role in her late mother Whitney Houston‘s upcoming Lifetime biopic.

Angela Bassett, the film’s director, recently explained why Bobbi was never considered to play Houston, a role that was ultimately given to Yaya DaCosta of The Butler and TRON: Legacy.

“I know she’s acted here and there.  I know she’s been on her family’s reality show, but she’s not an actress and acting is a craft,” Bassett told Entertainment Weekly.  “This is a very fast-paced schedule; we have just 21 days to tell this story.  It’s more than just saying lines and turning the lights on.  You have to drive the story — there’s a technical aspect.”

Soon after learning of Bassett’s comment, Bobbi took to Twitter to blast the legendary actress, who she referred to as a “bassketcase.”

“When I win my first Grammy or Oscar, *Shrugs* hmm whichever comes 1st, I’ll be sure 2shout URname out b- tch! Hah UrTestResults = Male. Lmao,” she tweeted over the weekend.

She then apologized on Tuesday.  “I’m a young woman that can admit her wrongs.  4who was offended I apologize BUT understand me before you’re quick to judge though.  ThankU,” she wrote.

Houston’s biopic is set to premiere on Lifetime in 2015.
