LifetimeDuring a concert appearance in Dallas Saturday night, Bobby Brown made a surprising announcement about his daughter Bobbi Kristina, who had reportedly been unresponsive since January 31, when she was discovered unconscious in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, home.
“Bobbi is awake!” the 46-year-old singer exclaimed to wild applause, according to video TMZ posted of the announcement. “She’s watching me.”
That would be news indeed if it is confirmed; last official word was the 22-year-old daughter of Brown and the late Whitney Houston was moved out of Emory University Hospital in Georgia to a long-term care facility after attempts were made to wake her from a medically-induced coma.
Brown’s attorney, Christopher Brown, told ABC News in response to a request for comment, “I am aware of my client’s comments last night. I have nothing additional to add.”
Bobby Brown’s news appears to be supported by a message from his sister, Tina Brown, who shared a Facebook post Sunday from a friend that declares, in part, “Please don’t stop praying for Bobbi Kris even though she is off life support and she has woke [sic] up.”
