Bobby Brown, Faith Evans, BeBe and CeCe Winans to be recognized at 2018 Black Music Honors TV special

Central City ProductionsBobby Brown, Faith EvansBeBe and CeCe Winansand producer Dallas Austin will be recognized at the annual Black Music Honors TV special, which will be taped August 16 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Brown will receive the R&B Soul Music Icon Award, Evans will be presented with the Urban Music Icon Award, and BeBe and CeCe will receive the Gospel Music Icon Award.

Austin, whose credits include producing hits for TLC, Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men, Monica, George Clinton, and Aretha Franklin, will receive the Music Innovator Icon Award.

The 2018 Black Music Honors will benefit the National Museum of African American Music which is scheduled to open next year in Nashville.  LeToya Luckett and comedian Rickey Smiley will host the annual show, which will air in syndication in September.
