Brandy stars with Naturi Naughton, Eve and Nadine Velazquez as former rap stars hoping to make a comeback in the new ABC series, Queens.

Brandy has enjoyed tremendous success as a singer during her 27-year recording career, including the number-one hits “I Wanna Be Down,” “Baby,” “Ever You Ever?” and “The Boy Is Mine” with Monica. However, she reveals that she’s always wanted to release a rap album.

“You know, that’s secretly my dream,” Brandy tells ABC Audio. “I’ve been going on and on about rapping for years. And so to land this role with Queens, it is divine. I can’t even believe it. It’s a dream role. I love it. I would love to do a rap album.”

Now 42, Brandy is a mother with a 19-year-old daughter, Sy’Rai Smith. This year, the Grammy winner is hosting her family for Christmas, and she knows it will be a very special time.

“The opening of the gifts and the laughter is just really, really great, and I’ve been away for a second working, so I can’t wait to get back and spend the holidays with my family. Do my TikToks, get them involved,” the singer/actress says.

“I get to really, really bring this energy and this atmosphere to the home for the holidays. And it’s so beautiful,” the Cinderella stars adds.” It’s so loving and warm, and I get to see my entire family. And I just love it.”
