Gill, who’s a good friend of the former late-night talk show host, admits he was appalled by O’Connor’s comments on her now private Facebook page that alleges Hall not only was Prince’s drug dealer, but he also spiked the marijuana she was given during a post Grammy event at Eddie Murphy’s house, many years ago.

“With her, because that’s my brother and family always comes first and I’m always going to have my brother’s back … All I can say to her is ‘if this is what you think, this is what you thought, at the end of the day, why are you coming now?” Gill tells HipHollywood.

The “My, My, My” singer calls out O’Conner for being less than stable, saying, “And yes I said, tell her to come after me. You’re a f*****g nut. Crazy identities with crazy. Arsenio’s the nice guy, I’m the crazy one.”

Gill credits Hall, who’s filed a $5 million libel lawsuit against the O’Conner, for handling the drama like a pro.

“I talk to Arsenio every day,” Gill says. “We’ve all been in the business for many years and have been attacked from something of somewhere or from someone or another, this is not the first. I think he’s doing it the best way he’s supposed to do it. Allow his lawyers to handle it and take care of it,” he adds.

Hall is the new co-host of the ABC summer music competition series Greatest Hits, premiering June 30 at 9 p.m.
