Atlantic RecordsCardi B blessed Houston hottie Megan Thee Stallion with a custom Birkin handbag to celebrate their history-making “WAP” single, which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Monday, Megan shared a video on Instagram, unboxing her expensive gift from Cardi. The bright orange Hermès box was a dead giveaway, but Megan was thrilled over the bag’s custom design, which paid homage to the video and Megan’s hometown.
“Not the Houston Birkin,” Megan said in the video after seeing a portrait of herself and a white tiger on the front of the bag and the Houston skyline on the back.
“My manager just walked in and said cardi sent you something, not the birkinnnnnnnn,” Megan added in the caption. “Thank you friend omg I can’t believe you I wonder what I’m gonna get her.”
Along with debuting at #1 on Hot 100, “WAP” also topped several other Billboard charts, including Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, for the biggest sales week in over a year.
The song was certified gold in its debut week, logging 93 million U.S. streams, surpassing Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings,” which racked up 85.3 million in its first week.
With “WAP,” Cardi earns her fourth Hot 100 #1 and a second for Megan, after her Beyoncé-assisted “Savage” remix topped the charts in May.
Elsewhere on the Hot 100 list, Juice WRLD and The Weeknd‘s “Smile” collaboration landed at number eight.
