On Tuesday, the “WAP” rapper updated fans on her new single life, sharing a few eye-catching photos on Instagram.
In the first, Cardi posed in a red leather devil-ish catsuit with giant red horns and matching red nails. “Single, bad and rich,” she wrote in the caption. “I do the controlling.”
Next, Cardi posed in an angelic costume with giant white wings. In the caption, she explained the costumes were simply for a TiK Tok video.
Three weeks ago, Cardi made headlines after filing for divorce from her now-estranged husband, Offset. After nearly three years of marriage, Cardi mentioned she was tired of “arguing” and “not seeing things eye to eye” during an Instagram Live session last month.
Cardi thanked everyone for the “love and prayers” she’s received since the news broke, but she says she doesn’t need it, since she hasn’t “shed one tear.”
“Every single time that this guy has done something so crazy and it hits the media, I’m always crying, always stressed because I don’t like that type of [stuff],” Cardi said on Instagram Live Friday.
“When you feel like it’s just not the same anymore before you actually get cheated on, I’d rather just leave,” she continued, adding that their divorce had nothing to do with Offset’s long history of cheating throughout their four-year relationship.
Cardi filed for divorce from Offset on Sept. 14 in Fulton County, Ga, citing in court documents that their marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.”
The couple secretly married in September 2017 and share a 2-year-old daughter, Kulture.
