Chris Brown Helps Promote Hurricane Katrina Donation Efforts

Chris Brown needs your help. In honor of the ten-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the singer has teamed with AidStillRequired.org to assist in ongoing relief efforts.

The singer took to Twitter to ask his 14.8 million fans to donate to the cause. “10 yrs since Katrina. New Orleans inner city youth still need our help. Can you chip in $10?” he tweeted before adding the donation link.

All donations will benefit to various programs in New Orleans for those affected, including the Youth Empowerment Project and Creative Enterprises Program.

Lil Wayne also is giving back to his hometown with the inaugural Lil WeezyAnaFest, taking Friday, August 28 in the Big Easy. A portions of proceeds from the show to Tha Carter Fund, which will assist in ongoing relief efforts and after school programs set up for underprivileged kids.
