Chris Brown humbly declines a Verzuz battle with Usher: I’m busy doing nothing

Daniel Knighton/Getty ImagesChris Brown has declined a Verzuz battle with R&B sensation Usher, after social media speculated an epic match-up between the two.

On Sunday, C-Breezy took to his Instagram story to let his followers know he has no competition.

“What he not gone do is CAP,” wrote Breezy. “I could do a vs. off features alone… So I’ll humbly decline. I’m busy doing nothing.”

“Only vs. [I’ll] do is Chris Brown is C-Breezy. [I’m] not in competition with nobody but myself,” Chris also captioned a clip from his Indigo Tour.

Wishful fans have been pairing up the R&B/pop star with the likes of Usher, Justin BieberTrey Songz, and other chart-topping artists for the next Verzuz battle.

Not long after, Brown’s single “Fine China” began trending as well. Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Eric Bellinger collaborated on the Michael Jackson-inspired track, which served as the lead single from Brown’s sixth studio album, X, in 2013.

Usher’s fans haven’t forgotten his longstanding success, hoping he vocally drags Chris like he did The Weeknd during the “Climax” Challenge earlier this year.

“I hope Usher addresses this the way he addressed The Weeknd — by posting a cute 30-second snippet of him singing the girls down while laying flat on his back just to remind y’all what y’all have clearly forgotten,” a fan wrote.

Meanwhile, others just want to celebrate both R&B artists.  “Usher & Chris Brown [are] both goats. Don’t get it twisted. Both have their own impact on R&B & both are going down as legends,” a fan tweeted.
