image Courtesy Latina MagazineChristina Milian has scored the front cover of Latina magazine’s May 2015 issue, and inside she finally delves into her long-rumored relationship with Lil Wayne.
A coy Milian is protective of their budding relationship, perhaps because of the couple’s complicated family ties — Wayne fathered a child with Nivea who is the ex-wife of Christina’s ex-husband, The-Dream.
“The deal is he’s my man…crush. I think he’s awesome,” she tells the publication. “He and I have a very special relationship and I think I’ve always been very careful with it publicly because when you have something special it’s like everybody picks apart words.”
She continues, “They’ll pick apart a moment in a picture and take something that’s special and trash it.”
As for her detractors, Milian couldn’t care less. “I’m just in a new place. I’m a grown woman. The haters are definitely wrong if they think I care. I can’t figure you people out. I just want to do me,” she says.
In the interview, Milian also address the subjects of being a single mom, instilling a positive body image in her daughter and her forthcoming album, which will be released via Wayne’s Young Money imprint.
The issue hits newsstands on April 7.
