Epic RecordsJust in time for Mother’s Day, Ciara has released a touching video for “I Got You,” a song dedicated to her son, Future Zahir.
In the clip, streaming on People, Ciara shares home video showing her breaking the news of her pregnancy to her parents, Jackie and Carlton Harris. “Your first grand-baby,” she tells her parents when she was almost six months pregnant.
As her Diane Warren-penned ballad plays, the video reveals other intimate footage, from little Future’s first swimming lesson to an airplane ride, as well as studio footage of the recording of the song.
“This song is very special to me as it’s dedicated to my son,” the singer tells the mag. “I cried in the process of recording [it]. This album truly marks one of the most special times in my life.”
“I’m so excited for my first ‘official’ Mother’s Day,” shares Ciara, who gave birth just a week after Mother’s Day last year.
