Ciara has bid farewell to one of the patients she visited with NFL star Russell Wilson at the Seattle Children’s Hospital over the summer.
The singer announced via Instagram that the same little girl that she met in June has passed away from cancer. In the post, Ci Ci stands in the pediatric oncology ward next to Wilson and the child, whose name is Ailynn.
“The First Time @DangeRussWilson and I Met You At @SeattleChildrens, Our Hearts Lit Up!.. I Said, Look At That Little Supermodel!” Ciara wrote. “Your Big Bright Beautiful Smile Was Shining!! Your Light Shined So Bright, It Was As As If You Turned The Hospital Floor Into A Catwalk… Right Now, I Shed Tears… Some Sad, But Mostly Tears Of Joy… One Knowing That I Was Able To Meet One Of The Coolest and Toughest Girls To Walk The Earth! I Can Also Be At Peace Knowing Heaven Is Welcoming One Of The Sweetest Angels and You Won’t Have To Suffer Anymore.”
Wilson, who recently said yes to being Ailynn’s honorary godfather, tweeted: “My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to my goddaughter, Ailynn as she joins our Heavenly Father.”
