Ciara is finally speaking up. After being criticized for allowing her child with ex-fiance Future to meet her new boyfriend, Russell Wilson, the singer reveals her feelings on the matter, which she feels reflects “double standard.”

“It’s been very interesting to hear what a lot of guys had to say and it’s a bit of a double standard,” she said in an interview on CBS This Morning, “Because at one point in time when we were together, I took care of his kids as well at a very young stage in our relationship. I was involved very early in the stages of us getting to know each other and that’s been a big conversation. Well, what’s the difference here?”

She continued that people are judging the situation without knowing the whole story.  “To the guys that want to have such an opinion, know your facts,” she said. “I did reach out to my son’s father for him and Russell to speak and he didn’t want to talk to me. We didn’t get to talk, so that was that.”

Ci Ci adds that she’s just trying to move forward. “I don’t know what more they could expect for me to do than just live my life, and that’s what I’m doing.”

The singer also discussed her latest album, Jackie, and remaining celibate with her new beau, whom she’s been dating for the past six months.
