Ciara Says She’s Got to Give It Everything on New Tour

by

Epic RecordsCiara‘s promotional run has officially begun. The singer stopped by Friday’s Live with Kelly and Michael to not only perform her hit single, “I Bet,” but to discuss her highly-anticipated tour, which will support her next album, Jackie, arriving May 4.

“It’s been six years since I’ve toured, so I’m like so ready to go all the way in for this tour, I got to give it everything,” Ciara says. “Its going to be a lot of fun.”

As she gears up to hit the road — beginning May 3 in Chicago through May 31 in San Francisco — Ciara can rest easy, knowing her 11-month-old son, Future, will be taken care of.

“My dad is my nanny and, you know, he takes the job very seriously, its the cutest thing,” Ci Ci says. “He forgets about me, he’s like, ‘Okay, I’m with my grandson, I got to do what I got to do.’ It’s so cute.”

Ciara adds that she can now relate to her mother, who inspired the project. “I titled the album Jackie, after my mom because now that I’m a mom, I can understand what its like to be in her shoes,” the singer says.

You can now pre-order Jackie, which includes production credits from Dr. Luke, Polow da Don, Harmony Samuels, and The Underdogs, and writing help from Rock City, Ester Dean, and hitmaker Diane Warren.
