Could Kanye West and 112 be gearing up to release a gospel record?

by

ABC/Randy HolmesAs Kanye West‘s “Sunday Service” sessions continue to gain traction on the net, it appears as though the rapper is looking to produce more gospel-inspired music with the help of 112

In a recent interview with TMZ, Slim, of the coveted R&B group, hinted that there may be a possible collaboration in the works with the Kids See Ghosts artist. While he didn’t divulge many details, the singer noted that Ye is looking to draw in more youth to the church through his music.

“Kanye being a musical genius, he’ll do an album and then scrap it,” Slim explained. “Whatever happens, it’s something that God wanted to happen.”

Slim continued by sharing that Ye has been in a “good place” lately.

“We were talking about more things that were spiritual, you know what I’m saying? And, Kanye’s in a real good place right now.”

While there’s no real confirmation on the collaboration, last week a video of Slim and fellow 112 member Michael Keith serenading Kim Kardashian via FaceTime surfaced online. The clip has since gone viral.
