Courtesy of RCA RecordsIf you haven’t heard the name “SZA” before, now’s your chance to get acquainted with the R&B singer who’s headed for stardom with her debut album.
SZA’s major label debut, Ctrl, has entered the Billboard 200 at #3. It also debuted at #1 on Billboard‘s R&B Albums chart and #2 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.
SZA, born Solána Imani Rowe, first came onto the music scene with her 2012 mixtape See.SZA.Run.
That was followed by a second mixtape, 2013’s S. She then signed to Top Dawg Entertainment and released an EP called Z in 2014.
Ctrl arrived June 9 and it’s since received kudos from fans and celebrities like Diddy, Insecure creator Issa Rae and Calvin Harris.
Featured guest appearances on the album include Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott.
