Ctrl-alt-don’t delete: SZA’s debut album makes huge splash on Billboard charts

Courtesy of RCA RecordsIf you haven’t heard the name “SZA” before, now’s your chance to get acquainted with the R&B singer who’s headed for stardom with her debut album. 

SZA’s major label debut, Ctrl, has entered the Billboard 200 at #3. It also debuted at #1 on Billboard‘s R&B Albums chart and #2 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.  

SZA, born Solána Imani Rowe, first came onto the music scene with her 2012 mixtape See.SZA.Run. 

That was followed by a second mixtape, 2013’s S.  She then signed to Top Dawg Entertainment and released an EP called in 2014.

Ctrl arrived June 9 and it’s since received kudos from fans and celebrities like DiddyInsecure creator Issa Rae and Calvin Harris.  

Featured guest appearances on the album include Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott.  

Ctrl is available to stream and purchase via the usual digital outlets.
