DALLAS EVICTIONS ON HOLD UNTIL JUNE 15TH

If you received an eviction notice after March 27^th, the Texas Supreme Court’s moratorium has issued a unanimous halt for some evictions until June 15^th. The Justice of the Peace Sasha Moreno, a court in Grand Prairie says June 15^th is the earliest Dallas County will hear those eviction cases. Some cases have been completed by phone until the court is reopen to hear them in person. Moreno said it doesn’t make sense to resume evictions in Dallas County as more than 2 million Texans have applied for unemployment due to the coronavirus pandemic.
