David and Tamela Mann are still relishing the success of their first collaborative effort, “Good Love.”

While the gospel power couple have shared the screen in a handful of Tyler Perry films, they recently embarked on a new dual journey together with their duet album, Us Against the World: The Love Project.

We’re in love and we just wanted to talk more about love,” Tamela told ABC Radio of the joint effort.  “You can make it in your relationship, without quitting and breaking up on each other.”

In tandem with the album’s debut, the Manns also released a memoir titled Us Against The World: Our Secrets to Love, Marriage, and Family, which chronicles their 30-year relationship.

“Because we both come from music, we wanted to put music behind some of the stories in the book. So, my son came up with the [concept],” David explained.

Keeping it in the family, their son, David Jr., co-produced the project and pulled together a team of songwriters that helped craft the 10-song collection.

Since its release, Us Against the World: The Love Project has spent nine weeks on the gospel charts with a peak position at number three. The Manns also toured off the effort and will hit the road once again for Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Farewell Tour, kicking off Friday in Oakland, California.
