In a playful Instagram snap that shows her sticking out her tongue and flashing a peace sign from the rear window of a vehicle, Leakes shares a cryptic message: “Say what now? Nawwww Happiness over everything,” adding the hastags, “#byeforever #putsomerespekonmyname.”
Fans were quick to question Leakes’ message, asking the reality star if this was truly her official goodbye.
“Please don’t tell me you’re leaving the show @neneleakes,” one fan wrote.
Please don’t leave @realhousewivesofatlanta,” another asked.
“She has outgrown the show anyway,” wrote yet another fan. “Her presence is bigger than that stage.”
As of late, Leakes has been focused on her clothing boutique, Swag, which launched a new store in the DMV area.
“I absolutely love swag boutique! I wish I could have made it to the mgm for the grand opening. I just gave birth to my 4th blessing,” NeNe recently posted. “After I recover & heal, I’m making my way to the harbor ASAP. Thank you soooo much for bringing Swagg Boutique to the DMV area.”
As yet, there’s no official word on if Leakes will return to Real Housewives of Atlanta for its 12th season this fall.
