Drake is Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the decade

Republic RecordsDrake has been named Spotify’s king of the decade as the most-streamed artist on the digital platform of the past ten years.

Drizzy released all five of his solo albums during the decade, beginning with Thank Me Later in 2010. Take Care followed in 2011, Nothing Was the Same in 2013, Views in 2016, and his latest solo album, Scorpiondropped in 2018.

Drake’s eight-times platinum single from Views, “One Dance,” featuring Wizkid and Kyla, is Spotify’s second-most-streamed track of the decade, behind “Shape of You,” by pop star Ed Sheeran.

Take Care, which is certified six-times platinum, is also Billboard’s number-one R&B/Hip Hop album of the decade.

Drake hopes to add his long list of honors at the Grammy Awards on January 26 in Los Angeles. The Toronto rapper’s nominated with Chris Brown for Best R&B Song, for “No Guidance,” and also Best Rap Song, “Gold Roses,” with Rick Ross.
