After previously opening for Bruno Mars in 2018 and Kehlani in 2017, Ella Mai became a headliner for the first time this year.  After kicking off The Debut Tour in January, the “Boo’d Up” singer is almost ready to wrap up her trek.

“I started [the] tour on January 6 of this year and I finish [the] tour on January 7 coming up. So I’m almost there. I’m almost finished. It’s been a whole year, but it’s been amazing,” she tells ABC Audio.

“I’ve toured the world. I’ve been to places I’ve never been before and I’ve just been having fun,” she adds. “I just came back from Asia which was really, really crazy. I really had fun and I’m about to go to Australia so I’m really excited.”

The Grammy nominee for Best R&B Album resumes The Debut Tour on December 28 in Brisbane, Australia and will ring in 2020 with a New Year’s Eve show in Perth, Australia.

Then, Ella travels to New Zealand for three concerts before returning to Australia for her final show on January 7 at the Sydney Opera House.
