To follow up last week’s “Godly,” the R&B crooner brought us this melodic nursery rhyme hook you won’t forget. Just like Eric’s memorable tagline, “This Gon’ Be Your Favorite Song.”
“‘Solo’n’ is definitely one of my personal favorites on the album,” Eric wrote on Instagram. “Nursery rhyme melody vibes on the hook to assure that you know the words by the time the 2nd chorus comes around, and it’s stuck in your head after the song is done playing!”
According to Eric, the track sets the tone for the entire project, which is based on meeting his “better half” and wife La’Myia Good, who is also featured in the music video. The couple met 13 years ago as upcoming fellow R&B singers when they had the same manager.
Bellinger and Good married in 2015 and share two sons, Elysha and Eazy Bellinger. The couple was featured on The Platinum Life, E! network reality television series following the lives of women affiliated with the music industry, thanks to their chart-topping partners.
Eric B for President: Term 3 arrives Oct. 30, marking the third installment of his President album series. This new album follows April’s Optimal Music, a collaboration album with his longtime friend Nieman Johnson featuring Young Thug, Jeremih, Wale, and more.
